Legendary Vibes: Nature + Yoga in Tepoztlán 2024
Tepoztlán, Morelos, México
December 5-9, 2024
Embark on a four-day journey to rediscover yourself in the mystical town of Tepoztlán, where the legend of Quetzalcoatl whispers through the winds and ancient traditions guide you toward renewal.
Our mountaintop yoga retreat overlooking the valley of Tepoztlan offers a unique blend of Ashtanga, Hatha, and Yin practices designed to balance your body and spirit.
Our experience begins with a boat trip through the canals of UNESCO world heritage site Xochimilco, for a morning yoga practice and lunch at an organic farm where people cultivate floating islands, as the original people did more than 500 years ago, before the Spanish invaded.
Then we’ll head together to Tepoztlán, where each morning of the retreat begins with yoga, followed by meditation sessions crafted to reprogram your subconscious mind, helping you release old patterns and embrace your truest self. After plenty of food and time outdoors, we’ll have an evening practice as well before enjoying time gathering by the fire. We’ll also enjoy an authentic temazcal sweat lodge experience guided by a local medicine woman and aimed at clearing the past and making way for the new.
Tepoztlán isn’t just the backdrop for your retreat; it's a sacred place where myth and reality intertwine. As you hike the trails that lead to the Tepozteco Pyramid, feel the presence of Quetzalcoatl, the Feathered Serpent, whose legend of transformation mirrors the journey you’ll undergo.
This bilingual retreat ensures you can fully immerse yourself, regardless of your native tongue, in a community that honors diversity and the spirit of adventure.
This retreat is more than just a getaway; it’s an invitation to step into a living legend, to find balance and renewal in a place where the past and present dance together, just as all parts of you reunite in the heart of Tepoztlán.
Join Megan Frye, Rogelio Cruz and Luz Olvera under Sagittarius skies to experience true soul awakening and retrieval.

Meet your hosts:
Rogelio Cruz is a physical trainer specializing in unconventional training and a master of Hatha, Restorative and Ashtanga yoga. Originally from Mexico City, he discovered yoga at the age of 19 in the southern neighborhood of Coyoacán (Tiempo Yoga). After that, he trained as an Ashtanga teacher with Hernan Delbene in Buenos Aires Argentina between 2014 and 2016, where in he was also certified as a General Physical Trainer (GPP coach) from the Argentine School of Coaches with Nora Koppel, Sergio Parra, and Santiago Terbalca. In 2020, he completed training in Hatha and restorative yoga at Tiempo Yoga. He is the co-founder of Casa Kumbhaka, and Gym Juice Yoga in Mexico City. He currently teaches group and personalized Ashtanga and Hatha yoga as well as fitness and weightlifting classes.
Megan Frye is an independent writer, translator and Yoga Alliance registered RYT200 yoga teacher living in Mexico. An eternal student of photography, astrology, music and yoga, she came into hypnotherapy during the year of her Gemini nodal return. She’s the human behind Healing Wave Hypnosis. You could say hypnotherapy is her B-side, but as any audiophile knows, the B-side is often the best side. Megan spends most of her time outdoors, on the road and in loving theta with the world and beings around her. She is honored to guide clients through therapeutic hypnosis, which she believes to be one of the most rapidly transformational healing modalities available. Her greatest teachers are nature, the subconscious mind and those who fearlessly and compassionately embrace their shadow.

While meditation and yoga are included in the retreat and form a significant part of the daily structure, we feel that the additional offerings of hiking, temazcal, Xochimilco tour, market tour, etc. make our Tepoztlán retreat, and all of our retreats, truly next level.
